Whilst on holidays, going swimming is both refreshing and relaxing, during the summer months all seven swimming pools, located throughout the district are open. Swimming pools are located in Saurkrkur, Hofss, Varmahl, Steinsstair, Bakkaflt, Hlar and Slgarar.The ones in Saurkrkur, Hofssand Varmahl are open all year round.If you just want to relax you will find that all pools have natural hot tubs for you to relax in after a good site-seeing tour around the fjord.

  • Saurkrkur Swimming Pool
    The hot tubs at Saurkrkur are considered extremely good. Two tubs both with massage and differing temperatures. Sauna and sunbeds. The pool is a 25m natural hot water outdoor pool.

  • Varmahl Swimming pool
    The pool is a divided outdoor pool. One section is 12.5 x 25m and the other 12.5 x 8m children?s pool. In the latter the water is a tad warmer than in the larger lap pool and also has a small slide. This is a very popular family pool. The pool also has a hot tub with massage jets.
    The swimming pool is connected to the sports hall which has a sauna.

    Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 21:00 (9am - 9pm)
    Friday 09:00 - 14:00 (9am - 2pm)
    Saturday 10:00 - 15:00 (10am - 3pm)
    Sunday closed

  • Hofss Swimming Pool

    Opening hours, Winter 2018/2019 (from October 1st))

    Monday - Friday 07:00 - 13:00 & 17:00 - 20:00 (7am - 1pm & 5pm - 8pm)

    Saturday & Sunday 11:00 - 15:00 ( 11am - 3pm)

  • Solgarar Swimming Pool

    Opening hours, Winter 2018/2019

    The pool in Slgarar is closed over the winter time.
