Heluland guesthouse

Welcome to our little guesthouse in Skagafjord!

Helluland is a historic farm in the heart of Skagafjördur, close to the town Sauðárkrókur.

This beautiful farm is more than 100 years old  and supposed to be one of the first houses built out of concrete here in the area. For decades it was used as home for the families living  and working here as farmers.

In 2016 it was turned into a guesthouse and since then carefully renovated.

Our guesthouse offers 5 well equipped rooms and is suitable for couples, families or groups up to 10 persons.

We are open all year long and every season is worth a visit.

Enjoy the beautiful landscape, and the breathtaking view, go for a hike on our land or try fishing, meet the horses and go on a riding tour to the black beaches of Sauðárkrókur or have a nice skiing trip during winter.

550 Guesthouse

Located in the old center of Saudárkrókur, 550 Guesthouse  offers free parking and rooms with a TV and free Wi-Fi access. Saudárkrókur Public Swimming Pool is a 5-minute walk away.

A communal kitchenette with cooking facilities and a dining area is available at 550 Guesthouse.

Staff can help arrange activities like horse riding. The popular hiking spots at Mælifellshnjúkur and Tindastóll are both within 9.3 mi of the guest house.

Grand-Inn Bar and Bed is located on the main street in the oldest part of Sauðárkrókur.  The guesthouse has 5 rooms, 2 double, 2 twin and one triple.  There is a shared kitchen and dining area, shared bathroom and extra WC on the second level. Hofsstaðir country hotel

The country house offers 30 cozy 26 sqm - 30 sqm rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and terraces. There are also 3 rooms with private bathrooms in farm accommodation at Hofsstaðir.

At the Country Center there is a restaurant where own production and ingredients from the local area are in the forefront.

Glæsibær We are a horse farm and guesthouse in the north of Iceland. We are a farm in the north of Iceland, in Skagafjörður. We have about 80 horses, more than 100 sheep, a dog and a cat. Sölvanes is very much a family affair, run by Rúnar Máni and his wife Eydís, both from North Iceland. In addition to the daily farm operations, Sölvanes offers cozy bed and breakfast accommodation in Gamla Bústaður, which can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time, who can enjoy a home-cooked dinner on request. Frostastaðir

We offer accommodation in two studio apartments. They both accomodate 2-3 guests (a double bed and a sofa bed) and have a good bathroom with walk-in shower and some kitchen facilities for simple cooking. Both apartments are on the top floor of the old farmhouse (no elevator) and offer beautiful views.

Karuna Guesthouse 

Karuna Guesthouse is a family-run guesthouse. The farm is located on road 75 between Varmahlid and Sauðárkrókur, where we have a magnificent view, horses grazing, chickens in a pen and a few dogs playing. The midnight sun and the northern lights at Karuna Guesthouse are unforgettable and evoke a memorable feeling in everyone on peaceful evenings.  

Keldudalur Keldudalur is a family-run farm in the middle of Skagafjörður, 14 km from Sauðárkrókur. A peaceful location, Keldudalur offers great views of the surrounding landscape and the beautiful mountains of Skagafjörður. Guests can walk around and see cows, sheep, horses and goats grazing. Fróði, our Icelandic sheepdog, will be more than happy to show you around the farm and take you on walks around the area. There are three types of accommodation in Keldudalur: Leifshús is a three-bedroom house with a hot tub. Gestahús efri sida is a two-bedroom apartment and Gestahús nedðri sida is a small apartment.
