Alþýðulist Gallery

Alþýðulist Gallery is a handicraft shop in Varmahlíð, Skagafjörður. For over 30 years, we have sold handmade Icelandic products made by local craftspeople.

Members of Alþýðulist, a handicraft association in Skagafjörður, make a wide variety of items—large and small—from natural materials such as wool, horsehair, wood, bone, horn, hides and fish leather.

Of particular note are the sweaters designed for the association by its members, named “Under a Blue Sky” and “Under a Grey Sky”. Hats and mittens in the same pattern are also available. The sweaters have been hugely popular with visitors from all over the world.

In addition, we offer a wide selection of other beautiful sweaters, along with lovely handicrafts.

We place great emphasis on quality workmanship, Icelandic tradition and beautiful handicrafts.

Rúnalist Gallery – Stórhól

Rúnalist Gallery makes products from materials sourced from the farm, including hides, wool and horns. Farm-direct products and animal encounters, such as Icelandic Settlement goats.
